| Physical Description | Deon is a lean build, well toned and sports a tribal tattoo which spans the left hide of his chest, shoulder and down the left arm to the wrist. He got this through being part of a diplomatic delegation, acting as the medical officer. As part of the rituals all attendee's had to get 'marked' as a sign of respect to the Patriarch before the trade negotiations were concluded. Deon was so enamoured with it that he continued to expand upon it. As with all Deltans, Deon is bald, highly intelligent, and possess limited telepathic abilities. He can ease pain in others through touch also and has limited telepathic communication but only with those that have a telepathic ability themselves. |

| General Overview | While sometimes appearing aloof or "cool" to other species, Deon is actually deeply empathetic, humorous, and possess a strong sense of fun and a playfulness that he needs to keep a tight reign on for fear of it 'going to far' due to the overwhelming effect of his pheromones which is a trait of all Deltans. He has for that reason also taken the oat of Celibacy and will only partake of intimacy with other Deltans or species that has a more rebust cultural mindset in regards to these matters such as Klingons, Boilian's or someone from another species who has been correctly prepared for the experience. Deon is no different to other Deltans as they do not categorize emotions or relationships in the same way as most Federation species; they view love and attraction as a natural, unlabelled continuum rather than a structure like marriage. Their culture is profoundly sensual, embracing physical sensations and sexual expression. In his professional life, he uses his empathic tendencies to his advantage but will never use those abilities to invade someone's privacy without prior consent. He has also been known to use his inherent ability to take someone's pain but only in extreme circumstances given a touch is often enough to trigger a response to his pheromones in others. |

| Mental Health | 2387 - Cultural awareness related trauma. Two fellow students at the Academy had an intimate encounter with Deon leading to mental trauma for Deon due to the level of impact his pheromonal influence had on them both. One student recovered fully but the other is still institutionalised fourteen years later. This event prompted Deon to take the oath of celibacy and has adopted a much more reserved approach to intimacy with others not of his species. Deon suffers with immense guilt for his part in the event. |
| Personal History | Deon was born on the Earth calendar date of 17th January 2366, no translation of the Deltan Calendar is possible, on one of their colonies within the Deltan Star System. A small Moon around the fifth planet that could sustain life on a lush and verdant garden world. His father was the Governor while his Mother was an artist and prolific poet. He grew up as most children would, playing in the open meadows, swimming in the pool at the base of a water fall not far from his home and living as most of his race did, immersed in artistic or scientific pursuits. At a young age it was noticed he seemed to favour life sciences to a much greater degree and this soon to be passion would shape the rest of his life and career. Upon completing his foundation education he then chose his main pursuit of Medicine and at the age of 17 Deltan years old, now considered an adult, he enrolled in the Detlan Medical Academy on their homeworld of Delta IV. He moved away and began his higher education, residing on Delta for the next three solar rotations, it was during this time that he was introduced to Starfleet and what they represented and this also appealed to him so he resolved to enrol in Starfleet once his medical training had concluded. In 2386 at the age of 20 he bid farewell to his homeworld and transferred to Earth to begin his Starfleet training. His time at Starfleet Academy taught him some hard lessons as this was his first real encounter with non Deltans and what prompted him to take the Oath of Celibacy after a traumatic encounter with two other students at the Academy. One of the students recovered but the other never did and to his knowledge is still sequestered at a specialist medical facility to this day. |

| Service Record | In 2390 Deon graduated the Academy with honors and was granted the rank of Lieutenant JG, having already under taken his medical training which would ordinarily have been the rank of Ensign during this training. MORE TO COME |
